Are you dissatisfied with your weight? Well, here are some great tips for you!

Are you still too thin, even after trying hard not to diet? You might be ignoring some of the triggers that make you want to eat fattening foods.

Here are some tips for you to gain weight fast. They are based on the latest research:

- Don't eat any protein! Especially avoid fish and eggs, which have tooscale much protein and will just slow down your digestion.

- Don't eat any fiber! Tasteless fiber also slows down digestion and prevents exciting spikes in your blood sugar. Force yourself to eat only spongy white stuff: white rice, biscuits, white bread, and pasta alla gumma.

- Don't be tempted to up the flavor of your food up with anything either, such as spices or olive oil; that will only make you feel full sooner.

- Serve your meals in huge platters right at the table, not the stove. Put it on huge plates, too. If you use small plates, the portions look larger. It wouldn't be nice to fool your brain into thinking you're eating more than you really are.

- Stay up late, and don't sleep in. Getting enough sleep won't make you crave calories. An easy rule of thumb to remember is five hours of sleep a night yields five more pounds of weight.

- Don't mix high- and low-calorie foods. If you're going to eat potato chips, have them with Cheez Whiz instead of dipping them in yogurt along with celery, zucchini, or carrot sticks. They obviously don't go together!

A study in white, the color of the foods you should eat

My tips were taken from an article I read about an interview of Susan B. Roberts, PhD, a senior scientist and professor of nutrition and psychiatry at Tufts University. But they should still work.

Good grief!  The only thing white I even have in my home are bananas (almost white), potatoes (I admit I eat the peels too) and apples under the core.

I'm hopeless.  I'll have to stay skinny.

Sometimes I think I may turn into a blueberry.

You have a problem, Lenn: too much color in your life! You're even wearing a peach/cantaloupe/apricot colored shirt. There is nothing fattening in that color. Flattering, but not fattening.

I'm not one that needs to gain, I've already gained my quota this year :)

What I do know, is that eating dinner late makes me gain weight.........yes it's a rhyme......

I also know, beer is extremely fattening............so I gain during our hot San Antonio Summer's and lose during the winter.  I know, it is backwards I guess.

I've heard eating higher fat and calorie fruits and veggies aka the Avocado (good fat, but still fat) is a plus.  I used to put Avocado on everything and have dropped pounds since I stopped.

Another interesting post, thanks Robin.

LOL @ Craig's comment. rofl

Robin, This is a funny post.  I first started reading it thinking you were talking about losing weight.  haha  I am trying to stick with protein and fiber to lose a few. I can't think of many people I know who are too thin. :o)

I definitely should have eaten before reading through the comments. After seeing Craig's comment, I've lost my appetite. LOL

Robin, I'm not sure I agree with all the advice but it's as difficult for me to gain weight as it is for some people to lose it!  Some people don't see that as a problem but it is.  Now if I could get myself to look like Craig, I could lose that :)

Robin,

If Craig is thinking of starting a religion, we all could sign up just so we could pat his head and rub his belly. I think I'll nominate him for Active Rain's Mascot Buddha. LOL!

I think Craig may very well be thinking of starting a religion. He will have some disciples ready to fall in line right here!

Naturally, I'll need some start up funds for my new religion!

But luckily for my disciples in waiting, I've included this link for you to donate.

Read this just after eating one of my favorite ice cream flavors named "spouse like a house" (no kidding),  but now, after reading this I refuse to feel guilty. Thanks for the laugh.
